All Aboard the Titanic!

Suitable for Years 5 and 6.

Whole day = £200 x 1 class

Your class will be assigned a role as either crew or passenger from the actual Titanic lists.

The practitioner will guide them respectfully through  the events of that fateful journey. They will act out their duties and daily routines, as the clock ticks down. 

At the moment of impact with the iceberg, they will all be asked to make decisions that could dictate their chances of survival.

If they make it into a the lifeboat, will they row away into the dark or attempt to rescue poor the souls around them? 

In the afternoon the class will enact exerts from real accounts from survivors.

Finally they will attend the New York enquiry as members of the press. They will debate why the Titanic sank and what can be done to avoid such a disaster in the future.

Climate Change
and the Clothes Chain

Suitable for Year 3-6

Whole Day = £200 x 1 class

The day starts with a demonstration to explain what is causing climate change. The whole class will get involved in a memorable, active way.

The children will then consider fast fashion.

They will be given a role in the global supply chain, from factory to shop.

They will consider the basic economics to make such cheap garments. They will be given the chance to ask for a pay rise. 

What should be done to make life fairer for all?

To finish the day, they will investigate alternative ways to own cool stuff!

Our Island;
Mythology Makers

Suitable for Years 3-6

Whole Day = £200 x 1 class

The aims of this role play are to invent an imaginary island and create the myths that are buried there. The class will tell their stories orally, before beginning to write them down as a permenant record for the island's museum.

This will be achieved through collective mapping and drama techniques. Once the community has been devised, the daily lives of the modern islanders will be played out. 

A local hoard of artefacts will be discovered and the locals must piece together what they know, to create the mythology of their home.

They will work together to set up a museum and tell the stories of the hoard. 

This role play can be planted in the realm of reality or fantasy, depending on your request.
